New Features

New Expenses page

We've introduced a comprehensive Expenses management system to help sellers track all business costs beyond Amazon fees and COGS. Based on feedback from sellers managing multi-market operations, this feature provides complete visibility into your indirect costs and their impact on true profitability.

Core Functionality:

  • Create and manage business expenses across all your marketplaces

  • Track both one-time and recurring expenses (subscriptions, monthly fees, etc.)

  • Categorize expenses by type: Advertising, Software, Shipping, Packaging, Storage, Professional Services, General Administrative, and Other

  • Multi-country support with expenses allocated to specific markets

  • Date-based tracking for accurate period reporting

  • Search, filter, and sort capabilities for easy expense lookup

Expense Types:

  • One-time expenses: Single purchases or irregular costs with a specific date

  • Recurring expenses: Monthly subscriptions, ongoing fees with start/end date ranges

Find it: Main Navigation → Expenses

Bulk Expense Upload

Based on seller feedback requesting faster expense entry for historical data and monthly batches, we've introduced bulk expense upload functionality. Import up to 200 expenses at once using Excel templates.

Key Features:

  • Download pre-formatted Excel template with 200 rows

  • Intelligent dropdowns for Expense Type, Country, and Recurring status

  • Visual color coding: green for one-time dates, yellow for recurring date ranges

  • Background processing with real-time progress tracking

  • Detailed row-by-row error reporting showing exact issues and affected rows

Find it: Expenses → Bulk Upload

Enhanced Expense Visibility in all areas

Your financial summary and Profit & Loss reports now show complete expense breakdowns with individual line items instead of just totals.

What's Improved:

  • Each expense displays as a separate line item with title and type

  • Clear labeling distinguishes recurring vs one-time expenses

  • Totals match exactly across all reports

Find it: Reports → Detailed Fees → Indirect Expenses section

Future Expense Planning

Create and track expenses with future dates for budget forecasting and planning. Schedule upcoming costs, track committed subscriptions, and plan quarterly expenses in advance.

Improvements

Progress Tracking Modal

When uploading bulk expenses, a new progress modal provides transparency into the processing status:

  • Live progress bar showing processed vs total items

  • Success and failure counts updated in real-time

  • Scrollable error list with row numbers, titles, and specific error messages

  • Processing continues in background while you work

How to Use Bulk Upload

  1. Navigate to Expenses page and click Bulk Upload

  2. Download the Excel template (Step 1)

  3. Fill in your expenses using the provided dropdowns and date fields

  4. Upload your completed file (Step 2)

  5. Review the progress modal showing real-time processing status

  6. Check any errors and re-upload corrected rows if needed

Template Guidelines:

  • Use Excel dropdowns for Expense Type, Country, and Recurring fields

  • Green-highlighted cells are for one-time expense dates

  • Yellow-highlighted cells are for recurring expense start/end dates

  • For one-time expenses: fill Date of Spend only

  • For recurring expenses: fill Start Date (required) and End Date (optional)

Notes

This release addresses seller requests for faster expense management and complete financial visibility. The bulk upload feature is particularly valuable for onboarding historical data or processing monthly expense batches from multiple markets. The enhanced Detailed Fees breakdown ensures every expense is accounted for in your profit calculations, regardless of how many expenses you track.

All existing expenses remain intact and continue working normally. No data migration required.
